![]() ![]() ![]() If you find it hard to hit the apexes because your car feels unresponsive and sluggish to your steering inputs, that's understeer, and remedying it is a matter of doing the exact reverse of the above. Finally, under transmission settings, you can either decrease the differential adjustment on throttle or increase the off throttle diff. Making the front suspension and roll bar stiffer than the rear will also introduce understeer, but again make sure you either increase front stiffness or decrease the rear, not both. The first is either increasing rear wing aero or decreasing front wing aero (but not both) to introduce some understeer from the air. If you’re struggling for traction mid-corner and on corner exits, or finding the car a bit too twitchy to your inputs all over the circuits, there are a few F1 2020 setup categories to tweak. Remember, you’re not trying to make the car as easy to drive, but as fast as possible before you’re unable to consistently control it. ![]() Monaco and Hungaroring have a lot of low-speed corners and require a higher downforce level than normal, so you can pitch your initial front and rear wing aero levels a bit higher Spa has some huge straights and plenty of nearly flat-out turns, so it’s a low-downforce track. You can save yourself a bit of time here by looking at the circuit map and asking how many low-speed corners and high-speed corners it has. Finding the best front and rear wing levels for a track is a bit more of a ‘feel’ thing-gradually reduce both until you’re finding your lap deltas suffer, then build them back up until you see the sweet spot reveal itself in the times you’re posting. It’s a sweet spot in a constant balancing act between speed and grip. You’re finding out how fast and unresponsive a car you can get away with before its understeer or lack of stability affects your ability to hit the apexes quickly and consistently. It’s not about making your car as easy to drive as possible. The ultimate aim for any setup on any track is to run with your downforce as low as possible, and your suspension as stiff as possible. Remember that every driver is different and you may need to make some minor adjustments to the setup to get the most out of your driving style.Reduce your downforce as much as possibleīefore we get into a couple of example setups, here are a few basic principles that guide the process. We hope you find this useful for your upcoming races. So here was the complete car setup for Canada in F1 2020. Differential Adjustment off Throttle = 50%. ![]()
![]() Fudd was originally voiced by the radio actor Arthur Q. Somehow knowing, not only that Elmer would lose, but knowing how he would lose, made the confrontation, counterintuitively, more delicious. Elmer's role in these two films, that of would-be hunter, dupe and foil for Bugs, remains his main role forever after and although Bugs Bunny was called upon to outwit many more worthy opponents, Elmer somehow remained Bugs' classic nemesis, despite (or because of) his legendary gullibility, small size, short temper, and shorter attention span. Audiences didn't accept a fat Fudd, so ultimately the slimmer version returned for good. He became a heavy-set, beer-belly character (still chasing Bugs). For a short time in the early 1940s, Elmer's appearance was modified again. Elmer has a better voice and a trimmer figure, too. Later that year, in Tex Avery's "A Wild Hare," Bugs reappears, but this time with carrot, Brooklyn accent, and "What's Up, Doc" all in place for the first time. Bryan's "Dan McFoo" voice in what most people consider Elmer Fudd's first true appearance: a Chuck Jones short entitled "Elmer's Candid Camera." A prototypical Bugs Bunny drives Elmer insane. In 1940, Egghead/Elmer's appearance was refined giving him a chin and a less bulbous nose and Arthur Q. Bryan was hired to provide the voice of the hero dog-character and it was in this cartoon that the popular "milk-sop" voice of Elmer Fudd was born. In the 1939 cartoon "The Dangerous Dan McFoo," a new voice actor Arthur Q. Egghead (or the prototypical Elmer Fudd) made three more appearances in "Johnny Smith and Poker-Huntas" (1938), "Hamateur Night" (1939), and "A Day At The Zoo" (1939). Egghead made his second appearance in 1937's "Little Red Walking Hood" and then in 1938 teamed with Warner Brothers' newest cartoon star Daffy Duck in "Daffy Duck and Egghead." Egghead continued to appear in a string of cartoons in 1938: "The Isle of Pingo Pongo," "Cinderella Meets Fella", and "A-Lad-In Bagdad." However, it wasn't until "A Feud There Was" (1938) where his character was identified as "Elmer Fudd, Peacemaker," though he still maintained his Egghead-ish appearance. Many cartoon historians believe that Egghead evolved into Elmer over a period of a couple of years. In 1937, Tex Avery introduced a new character in his cartoon short "Egghead Rides Again." Egghead had a bulbous nose, funny/eccentric clothing, a voice like Joe Penner, and an egg-shaped head. d :^) From the Elmer Fudd biography page: The fictional cartoon character Elmer Fudd, now one of the most famous Looney Tunes characters has one of the more disputed origins in the Looney Tunes history (second only to Bugs Bunny himself). This study investigated tick species and abundance on a giant panda living in the natural environment for the first time, which provided important information for the conservation of giant pandas and other species sharing the same environment. Results from linear model showed that the temperature positively correlated to tick abundance while air pressure had a negative correlation with tick abundance. ![]() Tick abundance increased from March and reached the highest point in June and July, then it decreased until September. Tick abundance was significantly different among months. A linear model was used to test the correlation between daily tick abundance and climate factors.Īll ticks were identified as Ixodes ovatus. Ticks were collected daily and identified from the ears of the giant panda from March to September in 2021. In this study, an investigation about ticks on a reintroduced giant panda at Daxiangling Reintroduction Base in Sichuan of China was conducted. However, many previous studies about ticks on giant pandas were only limited in scope as case reports of ill or dead animals. Ticks can not only cause anemia and immunosuppression, but also bacterial and viral disease of giant pandas. The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca), one of the iconic flagship species, is threatened by tick infestation as well. Ticks and tick-borne diseases have negative impacts on the health of wild animals including endangered and vulnerable species. Our model developed here is broadly applicable, which quantitatively illustrates classical experiments that invalidating the CEP, and can be used to explain biodiversity in natural ecosystems. We further reveal that the facilitated biodiversity is resistant to stochasticity, either with stochastic simulations or the individual-based modelling. Here we present a mechanistic model, and show that the intraspecific interference among the consumers enables strikingly a plethora of consumer species to coexist at constant population densities with only one or a handful types of resources, which naturally breaks the CEP and may resolve the paradox of the plankton. ![]() A long-standing puzzle lies in the paradox of the plankton: many species of plankton feeding on a limited type of resource coexist, apparently flouting Competitive Exclusion Principle (CEP), which holds that the species number of predators (consumers) cannot exceed that of the resources at steady state. Collective behaviour could play a key part in the maintenance of biodiversity.Įxplaining biodiversity is a fundamental issue in ecology. Adding collective movement to canonical unstable ecological scenarios causes emergent social–ecological feedback, which mitigates conditions that would otherwise result in extinction. We focus on collective movement as a particularly well-understood example of collective behaviour. Here we introduce collective movement into a model of consumer–resource dynamics to demonstrate that collective behaviour can attenuate consumer–resource cycles and promote species coexistence. Although the social mechanics of collective behaviour are increasingly well-studied, its role in ecosystems remains poorly understood. These cross-scale feedback loops between individuals, populations and their environments can provide fitness benefits, such as the efficient exploitation of uncertain resources, as well as costs, such as increased resource competition. With collective behaviour, social interactions among individuals propagate to affect the behaviour of groups, whereas group-level responses in turn affect individual behaviour. Collective behaviour is common in bacteria, plants and animals, and therefore occurs across ecosystems, from biofilms to cities. ![]() ![]() ![]() The fourth was what they chose, leaning into this and presenting Green’s commentary on it.Īll of those options have pros and cons. A third would have been to go ahead with this, but not discuss the Poole punch, similarly to how Green’s only podcast since the incident and his appearance on The Shop have gone (those were recorded ahead of the punch, though, whereas this wouldn’t have had that excuse). Another would have been to put the debut of this series off for at least a week, if not indefinitely (which would have been easier than with expected series, considering how it wasn’t officially announced). One would have been to cut ties with Green entirely. There were at least four potential options for WBD in the wake of Green’s punch of Poole (who, for his part, has been very quiet about this, mostly just expressing hope to move on). But the decision to start this now and start it with an episode including commentary on Green’s punch of Poole is one that can be debated. So it seems reasonable to presume that this was at least in the works before the Poole incident. ![]() And given WBD’s previous spotlighting of Green on their NBA coverage, they certainly would have had interest in an all-access series on him before the Poole punch. We don’t know that for sure, though, given that this series doesn’t appear to have been officially announced ahead of Tuesday.īut The Countdown fits with Green’s wider attempts to take his message to the public more directly (albeit through established media companies). ![]() Green’s January Turner deal mentioned “Green making appearances on TNT’s Inside the NBA, among additional content initiatives throughout the Turner Sports and Bleacher Report portfolio,” and it seems likely this The Countdown was envisioned as part of that. It seems unlikely this series fully came together in the aftermath of Green’s punch of Poole. Here’s how WBD announced that Tuesday:Īs Zach Harper noted, Green’s comments here don’t really align with what he previously said at his press conference about watching the video 15 times, where he said “Watching the video, this looks awful, this looks even worse than I thought it was.”Īnd Green’s wardrobe ahead of the Warriors’ game against the Lakers was also an interesting choice, with many comparing him to Batman villain The Riddler:ĭraymond simultaneously looks like the Riddler and The Temptations /268BspQF元ĭraymond with enough Riddler energy to power the sun ĭraymond auditioning to be the Riddler /r39Yphc52Nĭude punched his teammate, made a doc about it and showed up to get his ring dressed as the riddler And the premiere of that series covered Green’s reactions to media coverage of his punch of Jordan Poole in practice and his eventual fine from the team. There, they debuted an “all-access” The Countdown series on Green (in partnership with his 23 Green company and with Peyton Manning‘s Omaha Productions). Green‘s WBD deal got particular attention on TNT’s opening night NBA coverage Tuesday. Discovery Sports (formerly Turner)’s NBA coverage, signing on with them on a regular basis in January following years of ( sometimes controversial) guest appearances. And in addition to that podcast, Green is also a contributor to Warner Bros. Many of those “new media” efforts are done in partnership with established media companies and/or personalities, though, such as Green’s podcast with Colin Cowherd‘s The Volume. Golden State Warriors’ forward Draymond Green has drawn a lot of attention for his “ new media” comments about athletes presenting their own narratives. ![]() ![]() ![]() Green Hell is available now for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
